Cute Father's Day Gifts on Etsy

Hi there folks! I'm thinking ahead and trying to get my father's day shopping done early. I browsed around Etsy and found some cool and unique things that I thought you might enjoy for your good ol' dad (or baby daddy).

Follow the link to get to my Etsy Treasury  to purchase any of these items...

Vintage Daisy Mason Jar Lids

Aren't these cute? What a great way to dress up your mason jar glasses with these adorable lids!!

In the middle of the daisy design, the 1/4" center is cut so you can put your straw inside. Fits standard size pint mason jars (not wide mouth). They are $5 for 6 lids and you can find them here on the TomKat Studio's website.

An amazing artist & friend, Elaina Soto

I met my friend Elaina a few years back at work and I must say, she is one of the sweetest people you will meet. Also, she is so beautiful and extremely talented artist. She is a graphic designer and painter who is very passionate about what she does... and it shows. Just check out this recent article written about her artwork.

My husband and I were able to purchase one of her paintings last year called "Papillon" (means butterfly) and we couldn't be more pleased. She is just beautiful and we are so proud to own an original of Elaina's beautiful paintings in our home. Even our 4 month old son likes to stop and look at her cause she is so stunning :)!

A couple years ago I commissioned Elaina to paint a beaver Mighty Mugg for my husband's Valentine present and it came out super cool. I wanted a beaver cause it was my husband's nickname from college (don't ask) and he was so excited to see it cause it is a one-of-a-kind piece of art. What is a Mighty Mugg you ask? Well, follow this link to Elaina's blog and she'll tell you all about it.

Elaina also made us a special Munny (another doll, different than a Mighty Mugg) for our son, Quentin. It's a monkey (we LOVE monkey's) and it's just as rad as the beaver. Her technique is awesome and something to be admired.

She has received a couple commissioned jobs painting people's dogs. They are just remarkable. Check 'em out!

If you are interested in contacting her to create a piece of art for you just contact her on her website, www.itsjuste.com or fan page on facebook. You won't be disappointed!!

Pretty Baking Cups

I love pretty baking cups - they just make a cupcake that much cuter! I noticed that the TomKat Studio now has a shop were you can buy such items.  Anddddd, you can bake directly into them!

The cool thing is that you don't necessarily have to use these for cupcakes. They can be used to hold candy, pretzels, gumballs or popcorn! You can even use them as a little favor!! Just use it as a container with some candy (or whatever you like) and wrap them up with a little celephane with a bow. Suuuper cute!!! Check out the variety of designs you can buy! Perfect for your next party...

Mommy Necklaces

What better way to represent that you are a mommy than to wear some mommy jewelry?! I searched and searched for just the right necklace for me and found it on a shop on ETSY called Mon Cadeau. I was able to get my son's initial stamped into it and it's just perfect. It's small, dainty and feminine and I get compliments on it all the time. Here it is:

She makes these handmade silhouttes of your kids if you send her a picture!! How cool is that?!

I like this silver wax-seal monagram pendant cause it's different
and looks romantic and reminds me of the medival era

I'm baaaaccckkk.... :)

Hi everyone! I have been away for a few months because I had my first baby boy, Quentin, at the end of December. He is just a joy and growing so quickly!! My husband and I are just so excited to be parents and cherish each moment with him. Here are a few pics :)

I will keep trying to keep up with this blog because I'm still a crafter at heart (although I don't have much time to do that now-a-days). Please leave me a comment so I know someone reads this and likes it!!!

D-I-Y Christmas Cards

I debated and debated if I should make my own Christmas cards this year. Mainly because I usually try to come up with something cute, but it takes me FOREVER to finish like 10 cards. I thought this year I would take a break from it and just order some from shutterfly cause it was quick and easy.

But of course I just found a very cute and simple idea for some homemade cards after I already sent my cards. Oh well! These were created by the TomKat Studio for HGTV and just involve some printing, punching and gluing to assemble. I love the fact that they are 3-D like too! Plus, you can download the templates for FREE. Good deal my friends. Just click on the name of the card above the photo and it will take you to the website to read more and download the design.
